Minocqua Vintage Snowmobile Day

Participants : Everything You Need To Know

Where else in Minocqua can you watch the fastest vintage sleds, built for straight-line and oval racing, with your family and friends? Right here in beautiful Minocqua at Area 31, a former Yamaha® snowmobile secret testing site. The Minocqua Forest Riders (MFR) are hosting our inaugural Radar Run for 12 classes of vintage snowmobiles (1985 or older) on February 21, 2026, immediately followed by our Vintage 300 Enticer Oval Race (invitation only).

Like any racing event, safety is our first priority followed by accuracy and fun. Our first Vintage Radar Run (open registration) event will be on 500 feet of perfectly packed snow. The Vintage Oval Race will immediately follow the Radar Run on a well-groomed, snow-covered oval track. MFR groomers have been working these tracks since December to ensure the most pristine snowmobile racing tracks possible for these racers.

Spectators are not only welcome, but encouraged to attend the first of what we hope to be an annual event at the Area 31 property. The Vintage Snowmobile Showcase will feature over 50 vintage sleds (1985 and older) will be on display for all to see. The owners of these sleds have worked meticulously and will be available to share what they’ve learned over the years. There will also be a judging, including a “People’s Choice” award between 11:00am and 12:00pm.

The MFR Annual Snowmobile Raffle will also be taking place on February 22nd at 5:00pm. Raffle tickets will be available to purchase throughout the day. One lucky winner will be the recipient of a brand new 2024 Ski-Doo® MXZ X-RS or $10,000 in cash.

Proceeds to benefit the MFRSC trail maintenance and equipment fund.
